The startup phase is one of my favourite phases of doing business. It’s exciting to create the new branding for a business and help a client get started with a new website. All sorts of challenges come along and I’ll be honest, working with the client could be the biggest challenge however being able to build a relationship, figure them out and figure their business ideas out is probably the most rewarding aspect of my job.
“Time” is a graphic designers and web designers most influential tool.
It has the power to destroy a creative project or make it a success.
The problem is that we don’t control the tool of time, it controls us so you never really know when it’s being helpful or damaging to our work, or do we?
Here’s several notable occasions where time has affected my design work for good or worse.

Finding the right font for a graphic design project can be a tedious task because it brings out the perfectionist hidden inside every graphic designer. There are millions to choose from but every designer has their favourites, a handful of fonts that seem to work for any given project if all else fails.
Selling the service of design is no easy job. You the designer have to sell the client your skills and expertise which is based purely around you. There is no physical product that the client is buying into and design itself is not comprehensible to everyone.
It’s actually like selling water to a fish.
