You won’t believe how scary the word “Re-Brand” can be to business owners.
If you’re reading this then I know you’re a business owner. I know you like art and I know you love colour but what I also know is that like most businesses owners you’re probably scared of the word DESIGN.
The discrimination of design however doesn’t sit alone, its accompanied by the word “RE-BRAND” and the phrase “New Design.” These words are scary because they simply lead to two more scary words for business owners:
Psychologically both of the words literally go hand in hand and as far as DESIGN is concerned, it’s the soul reason for “CHANGE” and “EXPENSE”.
Most people let alone business owners will not succumb to change easily and as a business owner none want more expenses.
The shear mention of the word “Re-Brand” Shocks owners into grabbing their wallets for fear of spending money but if I exchange that word for “tweak” or “freshen up”, then the idea suddenly becomes more susceptible to business owners.
From the above we can deduce that maybe its not the business owners fault that their scared, its the infamous use of these words and their associations that make them scary.
What I want to do is educate business owners so they can release their fear of design. The words being used are not that important, whats important is your problem and how it can be solved.
If your looking to have some design work done, don’t be scared off by words such as “Re-Brand” Or “New Design” because it actually equates to the same time, skill, knowledge and outcome as what you may call, a “freshen up” or “re-design.”
At the end of the day look at what it takes to solve your problem by embracing change and realising that the solution is not an expense but an investment into your business.
