…..Is what I often hear about brand identity design as a business tool.
Is it true? It can be.
But it doesn’t have to be that way for you.
Heres three tips to silence those excuses and make brand design work for your business.
1. Become apart of the brand
Your branding is only as good as the business behind it so be sure to follow up and utilise it.
For branding and identity design to pay off, you really have to use it, promote it and actively make it apart of your business.
Instead of just injecting cash into your brand design, be sure to invest yourself into it as well.
2. It may sound obvious but…. Avoid Bad Design
If you think that branding doesn’t work then it could be that you didn’t do it right. “Bad” design communication is often the culprit for poor results so for better results, invest in good design communication and in return, achieve a return to make your branding work for you.
3. Think about it
Identity design can be regarded as a waste of time and something only for the “big boys” but the chances are you’ve already invested in it.
Even the most reluctant business owner has invested in some sort of designed product such as a website, advert or business card and they do make a return on investment with those products. If a 100% ROI can be obtained with a small careless investment then what could happen if you invested more thought and cash into a full identity design?
