Argos’s Alien invasion campaign was a risky idea, debuted in 2011 to introduce click and collect. In 2014 it became the most popular aired commercial in the UK.
Apples first Ipod was a risky product having only been developed 6 months prior to launch in a market which Apple held no ground. It only sold 125,000 in its first quarter.
Despite its slow upstart, Apples risk not only paid off but changed the way we live and do business. And let’s be honest, most people didn’t buy an Ipod because they wanted an MP3 player. They bought it because it looked good; Afterall…Good Design Sells.
