In many cases the whole idea of a movie is built around a business playing a central role. The fictional business builds character and helps to move a story along.
These fictional businesses build a brand and cult following but remain fictional and tied to the movie, lasting only last the lifespan of the film.
What if they were non-fiction? How would they look and operate in the real world? What would their logo design really look like as a sellable entity not tied to a set storyline?
Heres an exercise to rebrand 10 popular movie based fictional logos, essentially bringing them to life as non-fiction modern and commercial companies without losing their original purpose and heritage.

The original logo: It’s a very 80’s logo but like real life companies, it gets a freshen up on design during the course of franchise. Theres something sinister about it.

The original logo: A bit of a classic and fits the characters desire for prestige well but in reality it wouldn’t really be saying much.

The original logo: Theres quite a few variations of the logo from the shop signage in the movie to the real products available today. Each one is visually different but similar in style taking on a vintage approach.

The original logo: Very “DC super hero” and fitting for a fictional world. A bit too tough though.
