Do you OVER plan or OVER Strategise?
It helps to define goals whether you’re a business or an individual but it can also turn into a bad habit of OVER thinking?
Now, I’m not talking about being a deep knowledgeable or even conscious person when I say do you overthink.
I mean do you overthink a goal with too much theory and alleged solutions to a point where you lose focus on the reality of the task at hand?
In an attempt to be professional and supposedly give your idea a fighting chance, do you think to a point where it becomes all theory and nothing practical?
You’re creating solutions, considering possibilities and trying to counteract a risk that may not even exist?
It’s something I see happen with most start-ups in an attempt to be professional.
I’ll be honest I’m no angel myself.
I tend to overthink a lot of things but experience has taught me what to overthink about and what not to (and I’m still learning) but most importantly experience has taught me that sometimes, just don’t think.
All businesses are different requiring different valued assets and strategies so I can’t say don’t over think a certain problem or don’t invest in this solution as a start-up but what I could say is, just get on with it.
Put some of that plan into action today because the most important aspect is not dealing with problems, risks or even repercussions.
The most important part is actually making a start.
