In the fourth installment of logo redesigns 2013 there’s a clear sight of sunny spells with yellow and orange making a strong comeback not only as colours but as a sign of the underdog.
Microsoft have been on a roll since windows 8 with regards to design. They instigated the Metro look as well as edged into the flat trend of 2013.
For the third part of logo redesigns of 2013 we can see a clear idea of “out with the old and in with the new”.
In addition to that we cover banks that are rebranding. All banks try and push forward with a people orientated brand however Lloyds was one bank that stood out from the crowd. Whilst everyone else used real people and photos as brand imagery, Lloyds were more creative with an illustrated approach and strong audio branding. Now that the Lloyds TSB has become Lloyds and TSB what have their logo designs become.

The Motorolla rebrand was an interesting scenario. The tech company was previously a pretty big player but in fast changing times it found itself like many, left behind. Bought out by Google and visually revamped, the new logo is fresh with a contemporary edge and certainly gives the Moto image a big boost in terms of current credibility but it’s new found colours and style don’t really outdo the simplicity of the old design.
